Just Go With It

A couple of days ago I went to watch the aforementioned movie.

I enjoy watching Adam Sandler´s movies, and I am a fan of Jennifer Aniston.
Don't judge me just yet. Let me explain. AS movies are easy. I don't have to unravel intricate mysteries, ideas or complicated human interaction. I just sit back and let my mind go numb. JA, well, she is a sweetheart, what more can I say. I despice Rachel in Friends, and yet it is difficult not to like her at the same time. Right. Lets get back to the movie.

IMHPO, the movie is like any other rom-coms of AS. It is a sweet movie. I love the chemistry between AS and JA, and at times while watching the movie, I wish they would be together (wishfully thinking AS was not married). It was really really sweet! LOL! ( I know, many people will disagree with me).
It is a movie about a man and a woman who eventually 'saw' each other for the first time. Even though it took some Jimmy Choos and some expensive outfits, AND an expensive trip to Hawaii. It had to be done to make the man alter his perspective of a dreary looking woman who he sees everyday at work. To change the woman's feeling and confidence about her self physically so that her real beauty can shine through. To enable her to see how the man acts in a different environment and for both of them to come together in a non-working environment. As with any AS movies, the flow of the movie and the ending was predictable.

What was a bit of a surprise was Nicole Kidman. I didn't think she would do an AS movie! She was funny though, and her hawaiian dance, was amazing. I didn't think she could move her hips like that.
The children in the movie..... ohhh I adore them. They were funny, they played their character sooo well. And I love the boy's mafia move on AS and how he tricked AS to go to Hawaii! ROTFL!

I also noticed....something disheartening. JA cannot act with children. The girl kept saying that her mother (JA) tells them everything, it portrays that the relationship that they have is a really really close one but it did not come across like it. JA seemed distant. She didnt hug them when they came into her office. At the waterfall, she simply went off to swim leaving her 'son'. At the swimming pool, when she saw the boy swam without the arm floats or a safety vest, she didn't go frantic like any other mother I know. And, when she was in bed with her daughter. The daughter gave her hand to cuddle, JA just simply squeezed the girl's hand. I think any mother close to her daughter would turn around and cuddle her child. Even more at a time when she also needed some comfort. I may be interpreting this wrong. But, I question that if what I see in this movie is what Brad has been allegledly saying all this time, (JA never wants kids) OR.... the children reminded JA of Bradgelina or maybe a time of what-could-have-beens. I hope I am wrong.
